Technical Expertise:
Modern software development, including: microservices, fullstack development, dev ops, containerizing, etc.
Knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and C#,Java coding principles
Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.).
Hands-on experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS, Angular/AngularJS
Hands-on experience with SQL Database such as Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL etc
Experience with tools such as Quality Center/ALM, LoadRunner, SpecFlow, Selenium,JUnit/NUnit, White, Jenkins, or similar
Experience with Windows based programming including WPF/WCF.
Experience working on software systems in the Healthcare regulated domain a plus.

Role Summary/Purpose
You will be responsible for programming a feature and or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and works with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but works independently.
Essential Responsibilities
Act as a member of the Software Center of Excellence, representing the face of high quality design and development practices
Develop high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end web applications
Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Writes code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Build features such as web services and Queries on existing tables
Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using language of choice
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience Java or C#/.NET
Eligibility Requirements:
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Must be willing to travel infrequently
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Barrington until Q3 and then thereafter, in Chicago, IL.
