As a Finance Senior Analyst at PepsiCo, you will be a key Finance contact responsible for providing the financial expertise and recommendations that enable effective decision-making within the business. There is a flexible work schedule option - The role would require 1-3 days working in our Barrington, IL office each week with the balance of days working in our downtown Chicago office.
Key
Responsibilities:
Financial analysis supporting 50 R&D departments and a budget of $80MM.
Work with Beverages R&D team to understand projects and the spend, to ultimately provide a detailed bottoms-up build of Gatorade and Tropicana project forecasts each period by WD4.
Participate in quarterly calls with BU Finance to provide transparency of project spend, communicating any risks or opportunities
Provide financial reports to all budget owners each period, including back-up, such as detail of YTD spend activity, EOS charges and open PO's.
Input the period forecasts in SAP for all cost centers on WD5.
Handle all period journal entries including consolidation of all requests, obtaining appropriate approvals and documentation and uploading to SAP
Manage all capital accounting for the facility, including opening/closing projects, auditing vendor quotes, return on investment calculations, leading forecasting meetings, tracking expense dollars on projects, interfacing with local capital projects team, QTG and Shared Services Capital Accounting teams, etc.
Lead initiative to streamline capex request process and develop long-range plan (3yr) for all facility capex projects
Manage non-capital project accounting for the facility, including opening/closing internal orders, tracking and forecasting expense dollars on Beverages projects, and working with the Plano Purchasing team to ensure internal orders are added to the Global Requisitioning Tool (GRT)
Manage internal control activities including document management, records retention and SAP auditing. Lead all new process control initiatives for the site.
Assist with the annual fixed asset audit by partnering with an external vendor to ensure SAP fixed asset records are updated to reflect all changes.
Work with IT department to maintain accurate records of all leased IT equipment and provide reports each period.
Provide troubleshooting support for systems/processes
Support ad hoc projects as requested
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Work
Experience:
4-5 years of financial analysis experience
Skills & Capabilities:
Ability to work as a team player and lead cross functional teams
Strong PC skills including Microsoft office and SAP
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, macros and pivot tables
Excellent organization, presentation, and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes.
Strong attention to detail.
Results-oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
Able to work on own with limited day to day supervision
Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
